Compress your photos.
Keep the day.
Photos you can't delete, but won't look at one by one again.
Pack them into one file and keep the whole day.
100 photos. One Pack.
1001
In the Photos app, the unit of storage goes from 100 to 1. A Pack is a video file that switches photos every 0.5 seconds — play it like any other video.
3 steps
-
Pick a period
Pull down the vertical timeline. Days you've passed become the Pack.
-
Sort
Swipe a cluster of similar photos left to pack it, right to keep the originals.
-
Compress
Press the stack of photos down from the top and the count collapses to 1. See exactly how much space you freed up.
Let's be honest
You can't get every photo back.
A Pack isn't reversible compression. You can extract a single photo later, but it won't be the same quality as the original.
You decide when to delete the originals.
Compressing doesn't touch your originals. The sort screen always gives you three choices — delete to free up space, check later, or keep — never a forced delete.
Your photos never leave your phone.
Every part of making a Pack happens on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to the developer's servers.
